    I’ve stayed at multiple all-inclusive resorts across Mexico, including Dreams and UVC properties, and this has been by far my most disappointing experience. The resort is completely overrun with children, and unlike other family-friendly resorts, there are no true adults-only spaces. Kids are allowed in all the bars, the gym, and even the so-called “adults-only” pool. There’s no opportunity to relax or unwind without the constant presence of kids, which is unacceptable for a resort that markets itself as upscale. The food was mediocre. While restaurants don’t require reservations, you’re often waiting 20–30 minutes just to be seated—even at the buffet. And once inside, the food options are limited and underwhelming compared to similar resorts. The spa was another letdown. Most resorts we’ve visited offer a fully indoor hydrotherapy experience—this one was outdoors and the water was cold. That said, my massage therapist Yessica was absolutely amazing. She gave one of the best massages I’ve ever had—professional, skilled, and incredibly attentive. She was a true bright spot in an otherwise disappointing stay. She deserves recognition and, frankly, a raise. The beach is tiny and completely covered in seaweed with almost no usable space. To top things off, one of the bars and one of the restaurants were completely closed off to all guests because they were reserved for a large private group. That left even fewer options for the rest of us. To be fair, the customer service overall was excellent—most staff members were kind, helpful, and doing their best. But the resort’s layout, policies, and lack of quality facilities made this one of the worst value-for-money experiences I’ve had. I do not recommend Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun, especially if you’re an adult looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. There are far better options in the area—Secrets and Breathless are miles ahead in terms of quality, atmosphere, and overall experience.
