Just outside the city, you do need a transfer or have a scooter. I only booked for 1 night, nice views, good breakfast and the bed was so comfortable.
Although I gave 5 stats, not everything was perfect. It looked either not finished, or a little bit abandoned. Broken stuff, grass not mawed, then entrance they had a sign hanging on his last chain, almost like a abandoned theme horror park. They brought the wrong breakfast.
If they pick this up, the place has an amazing potential. But all in all it was just small things, didn't bother my experience.

Hotel is on the opposite side of the river from town. On the edge of fields and beautiful karsts. Millio dollar views
Grounds not well cared for, but has a very nice pool. Refreshingly cool and clean, clear fresh water.
Multi choice cooked breakfast, delivered when you want, to your room. Eat on the deck at your private table, while watching the karsts and paragliders
Would stay here again. During our stay, many couples who booked in the main part of town have moved here, and are glad they did!

Was an absolutely pleasant peaceful retreat! The entry to the property was off a main road in Vang Vieng, so you had to come further in...
Upon arrival, you're greeted with courteous staff, beautiful scenery and serene atmosphere!
The facilities are currently under a few additions and upgrades.. But once all is completed, I'm certain it's going to be even more magnificent!

Tldr; place is great, owners are great, housekeeper is crafty and will steal from farang.
The location is great if you have a motorbike. The breakfast, the quiet and scenery was awesome, this would be a 5 star review.
However, we stayed three nights and on both days we were there the housekeeper searched our room and took cash and clothing items.
The owners were helpful and genuine and helped us access the cctv to see the housemaid enter our room, and even paid some money as compensation.
However the full amount was not recovered since the maid declined stealing it, and she continues to work there. Clothes were also not returned.
The money was locked behind a cheap (my bad) combination padlock in my bag that she was able to figure out, and the second time she rummaged thoroughly through my bag which was zipped up when we left.
