    We give this one 4 stars only because we had some issues with getting our room code. Had to have our booking site call them. But it was great overall, was close to everything fun to do as a tourist but far enough to call a quiet night in. We do very recommend. Just a heads up this is a an unmanned hotel. It was a big comfy room that was more than enough for 2 people

    Super comfy and large space. Staff didn’t seem to be around so when we first got there it was confusing to get in, but we called and got it sorted out. Really recommend!!

    Pros: - good location between Higashiyama and Gion. Easy walking distance to Heian-Jingu, Chion-In temple, other sightseeing in east Kyoto, bus stops, subways, restaurants -relatively spacious rooms for Japan hotel standards -in-room amenities were all clean and comfortable -staff made accommodations around extra futon and luggage forwarding Cons -Trash isn’t removed from hallways regularly -No room cleaning for longer stays. There’s enough toiletries, towels, and other amenities, but your sheets will not be regularly cleaned and you will need to vacuum yourself -Shops/restaurants in the immediate area close around 8 or on Sunday/Monday so expect to go towards Kyoto city center if needed
