    This was a great location for us. City buses, metro and taxis close by for easy access around the city and locations. The hosts were great with suggestions and went to extra effort to make our stay comfortable.

    This was the largest hotel room we stayed in throughout our visit to Japan. It's a good affordable option if you want to stay in a tatami room. It was very clean and the owners were very kind and helped us with luggage transfer.

    Hanakiya Inn was the highlight of our stay in the Kansai region. The owners Eimi and Hiro were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, leaving snacks and drinks for us in our room multiple times. The room itself was spacious, comfortable and full of character. Despite being on the slightly smaller side, the shared bathroom and shower were always kept clean. The accommodation is located in a lively area with temples and historic streets on your doorstep, and is a relatively short walk away from downtown Kyoto. Especially for the price, I can’t recommend Hanakiya enough.
