Ol Losowan House and Cottages

Ol Losowan was very clean and comfortable in a quiet area of Nairobi. The staff were very helpful and ensured we had a great stay.

The location is great, and very safe. Close to several important tourist spots. Property is GORGEOUS. Loved my cottage. Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Food was excellent from both chefs I met (Martin and Claude). Mary was amazing with her assistance in planning. Fred is an excellent driver and provided both security and friendly and prompt service.

Ol Losowan was an unexpected gem. When the hotel I normally stay at in Nairobi upon returning from several weeks of work for our NGO in remote southern Kenya was booked it meant I had to find a new location. I chose Ol Losowan after a cursory Google Search –– mostly due to the location and the fact that the cottages had kitchens to cook in. What a wonderful surprise then to find Ol Losowan to be such a lovely, comfortable, serene and welcoming space. The cottages are delightfully and creatively decorated and the main house is gorgeous; the entire home is in a lovely neighborhood within walking distance of the Giraffe Center. The gardens and the on sight pool offered a truly wonderful afternoon cool off. And though you can cook all your meals in your own private kitchen; don't leave Ol Losowan without enjoying at least one a la carte meal or Half Board from their onsite cook: The food was AMAZING. You can also learn about the thoughtful work of Seas4Life -- the owner's foundation –– which works to increase ocean stewardship along Kenya's coastlines and ocean ecosystems and has an office on site.

Not much! Everything was lovely. The local monkeys are bold so watch your fruit and food when you cook!
