Welcome to our house, CasaNovaGirona, a character Catalan masia set within a small estate between two villages. Rural but not isolated, 15 mins into Girona centre, 25 mins to the coast, 50 minutes to Barcelona.
Here you can truly relax in our house, your Catalan home from home, spend happy days with family and friends, enjoy the pool, bbq, play games, dine al fresco under the roofed terrace.

Weekend Stays - Arrival on Friday from 12.00 hours midday to departure on Sunday by 18.00 hours.

There is so much in our area to discover - the museums, cathedrals, shops, restaurants and cafes in Girona, (try a rocambolesc ice cream, take the tourist train, walk the wall) the beautiful Costa Brava coast, inland Catalunya, (Besalu, Vic), play golf, cycle, enjoy a vineyard tour, experience a medieval festival, or stay more local, take the children to a play area, eat in one of our many excellent restaurants, have a beer in a village square, - so much to explore at your leisure.!

Our house is set within a small estate, with open views from the walled front garden. The pool is sheltered by the garden wall, has a shower and sunbeds and importantly is fenced with a locking gate so you can relax whilst your children play in the garden. There is a trampoline, ping pong table, bats and balls and games for you to use and enjoy.
On the west side of the house is the large roofed terrace. This is where you will live. It is furnished with two large extendable tables, 12 chairs, a ceiling fan, fridge, traditional bbq, the ping pong table. An ideal sheltering roof for hot summer days and winter lunches.
There is freedom to explore too - tracks to wander, further garden areas to escape to for a quiet moment, to read, or to play boules or football.

Our house has 5 comfortable bedrooms with 4 bathrooms. ( 3 en suite, 2 sharing a bathroom.) There is a ground floor toilet under the stairs. Bedrooms have a mix of double, single and child beds. We supply bed linen, bathroom towels, beach towels and hair dryers.

The ground floor has two entrances; the main door to the front and the side door to the roofed terrace. The sitting room has comfy sofas, areas to set out a jigsaw, or the train set on the rug, to escape from the midday sun, or to enjoy a winter evening in front of the wood burning fire. There is a television, dvd player, ipod docking station and a mini hifi.
The dining room, an L-shaped continuation of the sitting room, has a very long table with 12 chairs. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, cutlery, glassware, a filter coffee machine, small espresso machine, cafetieres, stove top coffee pots, toaster, microwave, hand blender, paella pans etc. The large stove has gas rings and an electric oven. There is also a table by the front window, another dining area.

The house is well equipped with equipment for children and babies - 2 high chairs, a booster seat, plastic plates, cutlery and beakers, stair gates, potties, step stools, a baby bath, bed guard, cots etc.

There is a wood burning fire, central heating and constant hot water.
For the summer there are fans, either or both ceiling fans and floor fans in all rooms and bedrooms, a large ceiling fan in the first floor hall and air conditioning in the second floor bedroom. The house has great thick walls, tiled or wooden floors, mosquito nets or curtains and wooden shutters in all rooms.
PLEASE NOTE - only one room has an a/c unit, the second floor bedroom at the top of the house.

Casa Nova Girona is a privately owned house, serviced by the owners. We also live on the estate and will welcome you on your arrival. We will respect your privacy and have no view of the front garden, pool, terrace or barbecue area, but we are here if you need any help or information from us.

House Information -
Sorry, but we are not a party party house with loud all night music. Disculpo.! We are rural and private but we do have neighbours not too far away.! Which is not to say that you can't relax and enjoy late nights, play music, or children happily and noisily playing when here, early to late.!
We do accept pets, but please ask, and please clear up after them, take all rubbish away, and don't leave them unattended on their own in our house. Thank you.
We are a rural house with it's own wells for water and no door to door rubbish collection, all rubbish is to be taken to the local recycle bins.
We do recommend that you have a car. Please ask for local taxi information.

If you wish your group number to exceed our advertised maximum rental size please do contact us to ask if ok.
Our maximum group rental size is 12 people, including children and babies.

Arrival and departure times are flexible to accommodate other bookings, early and late flights etc. Please ask. In general - Arrival after midday.

Short stays/ weekend rentals - dependant on other reservations - Arrival on Friday after 12.00 hours midday, departure on Sunday by 18.00 hours.

For your information, we are superbly situated for Girona Airport and the AP7 road, junction 8, both approx 10 to 15 mins, and ideally situated to the west not under the north to south flight path, so we have little awareness of aeroplanes.
Barcelona city is a 50 to 60 minute drive and Barcelona Airport is a 70 to 80minute drive. Or catch the regular or high speed train from Girona.
