I'm a local Shanghainese but I work long term in the US. I come back and visit my parents 1 or 2 months every year and I have been picking this hotel as my temp base for the past 3 years and I probabaly will keep my choice if everything just stay as is. It's actually a mid-to-high end youth apartment style hotel with *** USD budget range per night. If you can stay month by month, they might have better price.
Due to my messed schedule, I had to check in and out 5 plus time every year, and the good part is that I have got to stay in many different floors and rooms and that's why I recommend this place SO MUCH, becausse not a single stay ever let me down once in the past 3 years.
*The environment and cleanliness is as good as a 3-star hotel if not better. They apply no-somking policy SERIOUSLY, which is huge to me.
*Young and Professional staff, nice security.
*Roof top open to public with laundry room and social area
*There are movie room, meeting room, gym and kitchen in the basement.

Facilities are amazing — with a theatre, (almost) full equipment gym (since it does not have a rack), and spacious rooms. Facilities are modern and have a Scandinavian vibe, with wooden finishings.
Rooms are cleaned daily and 2 water bottles provided everytime. Lots of convenient stores such as grocers, starbucks etc nearby, though the metro is a good 6 min walk away.
For the price, this is an absolute steal.
