About this apartment rental
You’ll also find the guest restroom here. Through the entryway—which features a coat closet, seating, and play areas—you’ll enter the cozy living-dining area with a historic tiled stove, which instantly transforms the cottage into a “hygge” spot. A cozy leather corner sofa and a large solid-wood dining table (seats six) provide plenty of space for the whole family to spend time together. From here, you’ll find yourself in a true favorite spot—and there are still a few more to discover in the lovingly designed garden.
The covered wooden deck, approximately 20 m² in size, is a dream place to relax in both warm and cooler months. It also offers plenty of space to roll out your yoga mat in the morning and welcome the day. In addition to a large wooden dining table, you’ll find a spacious rattan set here for seating.
From the terrace, you can step out into the approximately 400 m² garden. Here you’ll find a cozy seating area with a Hollywood swing, raised garden beds with fresh herbs, and a fire pit with pallet furniture—the perfect spot for evenings of baking bread on a stick and sharing sailors’ tales. On another wooden deck, two lounge chairs await you, perfect for recharging your batteries while gazing at the historic bakehouse (note, however, that the bakehouse is accessible only to the owners).
There is another wooden cabin in the garden available for play and as a cozy reading nook. From the first floor, a wooden staircase leads you to the upper floor. There you’ll find the spacious master bedroom with a new box-spring bed. From a small hallway, turn right into the spacious entryway with built-in closets, which offers additional space for playing and hide-and-seek. The modern bathroom with a rain shower is also accessible from here. At the back of the house is the separate children’s sleeping area with a double futon bed in a pallet-style design (which, of course, can also be used by adults); there is also an additional sleeping space on a sofa bed. A parking spot is reserved for them in front of the house as well. If you’re traveling by electric car, you can charge it directly at the property using an electric charging station.
Dänschendorf is a tranquil rural village in the west of the sunny island of Fehmarn. The village features two beautiful village ponds with quacking ducks and benches that invite you to linger. The nearest shopping options, including a bakery and two supermarkets, are located in Petersdorf, 4 km away. There is also a general practitioner there. From Dänschendorf, you can reach many natural beaches by car in just a few minutes, where you can relax among the small sandy dunes and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
On bike rides or hikes along the dikes, you’ll discover many beautiful spots with salt lakes, lighthouses, and great farm cafés serving delicious cakes.
From Dänschendorf, you can set out on many other activities. Take a trip to the island’s capital, Burg, with its beautiful old town as well as plenty of shopping opportunities and attractions such as the Marine Center, Butterfly Park, and more. A visit to Burgstaaken to meet the fishermen at the small harbor is well worth your time. You’ll find plenty of beach fun at the South Beach in Burgtiefe.
But above all, your vacation on our Baltic Sea island is pure rest and relaxation. The crisp air and sweeping views are balm for the soul. All of this makes Fehmarn an attractive vacation destination for the whole family.
When booking this accommodation, free use of the Fehmare swimming pool—including the sauna area—for up to 3 hours per day during your stay is included.
Optional extra provided by the owners. Availability depends on the continuation of the partnership. Not included in the room rate unless expressly stated in the booking confirmation.
