About this house rental
Rustic chalet "Gallina". Above Sarigo 2.5 km from the centre of Castelveccana, in a quiet, elevated position on a slope, 3.5 km from the lake, in a cul-de-sac. Private: property 1'000 m2 (fenced), terraced garden with lawn and trees. 750 m long narrow motor access to the house (mountain road). Width of access road: 200 cm. Roofed, parking (for 4 cars). Supermarket 3.5 km, bar 3.5 km, bus stop 2.5 km, railway station "Porto Valtravaglia" 3.5 km, ferry "Laveno - Verbania" 10 km, pebble beach "Caldè" 3.5 km. Please note: car recommended. Part of the house is closed and unoccupied. The access road is 200 cm wide and 2m high in some places. It cannot be accessed with vans and campers.

We really liked the space and location of this chalet. It is not ideal if one wants quick and easy access to the lake, restaurants, bars, etc but perfect if one wants peace and quiet, with views of a distant Mt Blanc. The chalet is well equipped, although this is not fully apparent from the description and we found the letting agent (Interhome) were not helpful and dismissive - they just didn't give the information we requested. The local agent and check in person was really nice and helpful however. We had herds of deer and wild goats in the garden most mornings. We shall certainly book again.

Die Lage des Hauses und die GRöße, wenn man in einer GRuppe verreist sind prima. Haus mit großem Grundstück liegen recht ruhig mit wunderbarem Blick über den See. Leider sind einige Möbel sehr abgewohnt, wie z.B. die Wohnzimmermöbel, die völlig durchgesessen und mit zerschlissenen Polstern. Wenig komfortable, z.T. labile oder kaputte Terrassenstühle müssten auch ausgetauscht werden. Die Verwalterin ist sehr nett und kümmert sich schnell.

Sehr schöne Lage, gute Ausstattung. Wünschenswert 3 Teile Bettwäsche, nicht 2. Bitte auch gleich anfangs mitteilen, wie der Müll getrennt werden soll! Anfahrt unbedingt nur mit einem kleinen Fahrzeug empfehlenswert!!

If you looking for a big, spacious and calm place in a rural location with nice garden, nice terraces and good external spaces, this could be the place for you. The inside is spacious too. But the inside is quite old and starting to get a bit warn out and beds not very confortable.
