Villa Basilio

Casa molto spaziosa e dotata di ogni comfort

We had a superb, relaxing stay in Villa Basilio, as it had all the comforts for a large family or a large group of tourist residents. It is located in a picturesque, serene place of the traditional village of Gennadi. It is very close to the village's super market, bakery, tavernas, restaurants and bars, which are vibrant with nice music and parties or greek nights at specific days of the week. The villa is very spacious. It has all the facilities, equipment for self catering, cooking, washing clothes, dishes and the bathrooms are modern, well equipped (e.g they include a hair dryer among others comforts). The fridge and dining table are large and there is plenty of storage space in the cupboards of the kitchen. What I liked was that the windows had insect screens, making it perfect for keeping the windows open at night, as there is almost always a breeze and there are hardly any mosquitoes due to the gentle wind. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe, hence most of the days I had the windows and shutters open, except for some other times when I used the available air condition for both floors. The villa has a large front patio, which is nice for relaxing at specific hours of the day and the roof deck balcony has a stunning view of the village and the sea in front of it. Manolis, Paola and Valantis were always there when my family needed them, making their best effort to help us with anything and they gave us good tips what places to visit in Rhodos and where to go for sea swimming. Actually, my children want to visit the villa next summer as they loved the house and played lots of games, especially in the front patio. I recommend Vila Basilio and I would go back to it in my next visit to Rhodos.

Vila Basilio is tastefully and lovingly furnished. Every detail feels thoughtful and cozy. I was pleasantly surprised by the complete equipment – from a washing machine and iron to all kinds of cleaning supplies. Everything was spotless, like from a catalog. In the mornings, I enjoyed a short walk to the bakery (about 5 minutes) and then a swim at the beach (around 10 minutes). The village is peaceful and charming, full of cats that I could feed. This place left me with beautiful memories, and I will truly miss it 💔🏖️
