The Ourtal Log Cabin is ideal for families, nature lovers, or a special getaway for two. It’s located in an unspoiled nature reserve that invites you to explore and discover. Whether you prefer outdoor activities, want to enjoy the peace and quiet, or are looking for the perfect retreat for a romantic getaway—here you’ll find everything you need to escape the daily grind.

From the terrace, you’ll enjoy a unique view of the wide Our Valley with its idyllic border river, forested slopes, meadows, and the imposing Our Valley Bridge. Thanks to its height of nearly 90 meters and the low volume of traffic, your enjoyment of nature remains undisturbed.

On the Belgian side of the river, the Eifel-Ardennes Bicycle Trail stretches for a total length of approximately 112 km. From St. Vith in Belgium, the route runs for 36 km without any major inclines, passing by the log cabin all the way to the lively town of Prüm with its many shops, restaurants, and sights such as the St. Salvator Basilica. An ideal starting point for day trips.

Thanks to its proximity to the highway and its location in the Germany-Belgium-Luxembourg border triangle, you can easily reach many other interesting destinations by car, such as the castle ruins of Burg-Reuland (about 15 minutes), the Eifel Zoo (about 20 minutes), the historic town of Malmedy with its charming old town and impressive abbey (about 30 minutes), or the water park in Bitburg (about 35 minutes).
