About this cabin rental
Get away from the hustle & bustle and escape to one of our cabins along our private and trout-filled pond in Nevada City, Montana. Hangman's Guest Ranch is just a 5 minute drive from the historic mining town of Virginia City, Montana. The Osprey Cabin is the size of a standard hotel room providing a Keurig machine with K-Cups (Regular and Decaf), creamer, and sugar, mini fridge, and microwave. This unique location offers guests the opportunity to relax on the sandy beach of a private pond off of Alder Gulch. A combo Virginia City and Nevada City trip is an amazing trip on its own, but nearby is also the fishing capital of Ennis, Big Sky Resort, Moonlight Basin, and Yellowstone Club. Hangman's Guest Ranch is also in close proximity to the three blue ribbon trout streams of the Madison, Jefferson, and Gallatin Rivers, as well as the Ruby River, all of which converge close by to become the headwaters of the Missouri River. Lewis and Clark traveled through this area and the famous Bozeman Trail ends in Virginia City. West Yellowstone is about an hour and a half drive, offering access to Yellowstone National Park. Nearby recreation opportunities include fishing, hunting, hiking, & boating, and more. This perfect Montana getaway will not disappoint!

Do you need to rent our entire facility including 4 cabins and pagoda/outdoor kitchen? Please inquire with host for details.
Please stay on the rock paths to keep the grass coming in nicely.
The storage building next to the cabins and the pagoda/gazebo building down by the pond are not for general guest use.
Due to the proximity of the pond, guests will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to receiving access to the property. No check-in will be permitted without all guests first signing our liability waiver. If you have not yet received your liability waiver, please contact us prior to your day of check-in.
Medical service dogs will be allowed if the ESA letter is provided at the time of booking. All requests for medical service dogs must be made at time of booking. All guests are liable for any and all damage caused by medical service dogs during any stay.

Osprey Cabin was almost new, and had very nice furnishings. It was a very hot afternoon when we arrived, so the closed cabin was stuffy and the lack of AC noticeable in trying to cool it down. We appreciated the communication from the manager and the easy check-in/out. The property is attractive and near the pond, but if there were other things to do, they were all locked up.

Our stay Hangmans Guest Ranch was perfect. The cabin was extremely clean and well fitted out. The bed was soft and the sheets were crisp , the hot water was very hot! The owner provided a small refrigerator and microwave and a single cup coffee maker. For our purposes, it was perfect, we only had to stop for cream at the Mercantile store in Virginia city. I highly recommend staying here. It was close and convenient to Ennis where we attended a wedding.The environment was calm, relaxing, and quiet. The cabin does not have air-conditioning, but in my opinion did not need it. We opened the windows that are all fully screened and turned on the ceiling fan. The temperature at night was amazing. We were here the first part of JulyWiFi is super fast and although our goal was to disconnect we did stream a show one night on our phone. Can’t recommend these little personal cabins highly enough!! We had a fantastic stay and will absolutely return.
