KOKO HOTEL Kanazawa Station

Room was on the small side but it was clean and pleasant. The hotel was also not far from the station so it was quite convenient. But if it rains need to get an umbrella because it is not totally sheltered to the hotel.

Vent didn't work well in bathroom.

5 minute walk from the station. Large shopping complex 2 minutes away. A good 30 minute walk to castle and gardens. Everything very accessible by foot or bus. We had a twin tatami mat room on 9th floor. It was small but very comfortable and clean, with a good sized bathroom. Great shower. Breakfast was nice with two options: 1. Japanese style - rice and fish or 2. Western style - hamburger! We went the Japanese style and it was very nice. There was also a small buffet w a small, but very nice, selection of other breakfast foods. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again.

Convenient to kanazawa station

Breakfast was okay until the last morning when we had a later breakfast. Though this was supposed to be 9am to 10am and we arrived at about 8.55am, there were no meatballs left, a few small sausages and another bowl empty - none of these were topped up. The air conditioner in our room blew suddenly cold during every night and was very noisy then as well so sleep was not great. The pillows were terrible. There were two washing machines for the entire hotel but one was out of order for the entirety of our three night stay. Finally, we had booked Japanese style accommodation which included a kimono dressing. We did not originally take up the option but someone went to great trouble to explain and arrange this when we booked some months ago so we accepted the offer. However, when we arrived at the hotel, no one could show us where to go on the map and only a bus ticket, shop name with no address nor other instructions given. After a couple of trips to reception with no one able to give directions to the shop nor the conditions of the booking (drop off after and so on) we had to cancel rather than waste our time trying to find the shop and possibly be unable to get instructions at the store. Disappointing to be unable to take up this opportunity especially when our original booking person had been so enthusiastic and helpful.
