About this chalet rental
Welcome to Etxola (meaning “cabin” in Basque) 🏡
I’m renting out my wooden cabin at the Port de Meyran in Gujan Mestras for your weekends and vacation weeks on the bay! 😁
On the first floor, there’s a 30-square-meter living area with an open kitchen 🛋️, a shower room, and a separate toilet. Upstairs is the sleeping area 🛏️, featuring a large bedroom with a balcony (140 cm bed), a second bedroom (2x90 cm beds or 1x180 cm bed), and a study/TV lounge.
Outside, you’ll enjoy a lovely little garden with three exposures: south-facing for lazy afternoons sunbathing or reading ⛱️, west-facing for pétanque or Mollky ☀️, and finally the north side for lunches and dinners, complete with an outdoor kitchen featuring a plancha grill 🥩🍷.
There is space to park 1 or even 2 cars on the property.
The house is ideally located, just a few minutes’ drive from the basin’s most sought-after spots:
- 2-minute walk to the basin and the oyster-farming village of Port de Meyran 🦪
- 1 minute from the picturesque coastal trail 🦩
- 4 minutes from La Hume, with its SNCF train station, beach, shops, and marina ⛵️
- 12 minutes from Arcachon 🎡
- 20 minutes from the Dune du Pilat 🏖️
- 11 minutes from the BlueGreen Golf Course in Gujan 🏌️♂️
- 15 minutes from the Arcachon Zoo 🦒
Please note: the property is located near the railroad tracks, which may cause some minor noise (approximately 1 TER train per hour, traveling at low speed).
