My lower rating has nothing to due with the Wyndham Bentley Brook property itself, but rather with my disappointment in Koala/Vrbo.
We were visiting the Berkshires to go Hiking and chose this property not just for the location but more importantly for the amenities (hot tub/pool).
Before booking the property, the Vrbo website was checked and there was no mention of any renovations taking place until the spring of 2025.
When we checked into the Wyndham, we were told that the hot tub/pool were closed and under renovation. Upon inquiry, the front desk indicated that this was not a last minute decision and that it was on their website for weeks! Since this renovation decision was made after we booked our stay it should have been Koala"s/Vrbo's responsibility to notify us of any resort changes. If we had known of this situation, we would have cancelled the reservations within the cancelation time frame and rebooked with a different property.
