HOTEL COLLI

We had a comfortable 2 nights stay in this lovely, beautifully decorated hotel. Excellent location - round the corner from the main square, yet quiet and tranquil. Particularly liked the inner courtyard made to look like a verdant oasis. Rooms are spacious, well equipped. Shower is hot and powerful. Small on-site shop with free coffee/tea, water refills comes very handy. All in all we enjoyed our stay in the hotel.

This hotel is super clean, central and aesthetically, beautiful with a central courtyard and fountain, a beautiful quiet sitting area and upper Terrace that is private and restful. The street facing rooms are a bit noisy as the city is busy near the central Square with pedestrian traffic, car traffic, and lots of commercial business going on. Eventually, things close down at it becomes quiet. The art district, many restaurants and sites are within an easy walk of the hotel, including a trailhead to access the river/estuary for birdwatching. The staff are sweet, polite,and helpful. I had to change rooms because of a strange repetitive buzzing noise in my room on the second floor with unknown cause but highly annoying, especially at night, trying to sleep. Otherwise, an exceptional hotel.

Nice restaurants nearby, good staff recommendations from the hotel, easy access to souvenir stores and art galleries. Nice spa experience nearby within 3 mins walk too.

Strong drain/ sewers smell throughout hotel. Including your rooms bathroom. No complimentary coffee available and yet advertised. On checkout, reception tried to charge us extra for toothpaste on one of the hand towels! Had booked the hotel again for a few weeks later on our return trip. Cancelled it.
