Mata e' Platano Guesthouse

The property was easy to find, and everything was clean and ready when I arrived. Some areas looked a bit worn, with minor peeling paint and chipped wood, but overall it was a good stay. If you’re sensitive to noise, they provide earplugs for nighttime sounds from animals and insects, though it didn’t bother me. Breakfast was available throughout the day, and I especially enjoyed the hot chocolate. My patio door didn’t lock, but since I was on the second floor, I wasn’t too concerned. On the positive side, the space was clean, the sheets felt freshly washed, and everything in the room worked well. Staff communication was decent, and the guidebook with helpful information was a nice touch.

Access to the breakfast room throughout the day was wonderful, and the pool is very private and clean!

Location Location Location! Beautiful property nestled into the side of the rainforest! Very close to the Beaches and Luquillo Kiosk. El Yunque National Rainforest is next door.

Such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay. It really felt like having our own little piece of the rainforest, especially waking up and relaxing to the sounds of nature all around us. Everything was very clean, well kept, and beautiful. The atmosphere made it easy to slow down, relax, and enjoy the surroundings. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape surrounded by nature.
