Villa Pool Access Boathouse Hua Hin

The 'Boathouse Hua Hin' is a huge residence complex with beautiful plantations, some 15 minutes by taxi from Hua Hin downtown. We stayed 12 nights in a spacious, beautiful and well equiped pool access villa. Staff were very friendly & helpful and communication with them via WhatsApp was efficient. The complex is well maintained and has several very nice swimming pools which however are not all filled with water.

'Chom Talay', the only restaurant near the complex, is unfortunately not easily accessible, because all of the roads and pathways, that could lead to it directly from within the residence complex, as shown on Google maps, are closed by walls or gates. Accessing it via the beach is only possible during low tide, the beach being totally flooded by the sea during high tide. Even at low tide large areas of the beach are covered by seawater trapped in furrows. To access that restaurant you have to exit the residence and walk about 1 kilometer all around the complex. Fortunately it is easy to order food from restaurants and goods from supermarkets via internet platforms like Grab and have all delivered to your door. During our stay we experienced several sudden cuts of the water supply, without any prior information and without knowing how long it would take to be restored. Fortunately these cuts did only last some 20 to 30 minutes but if you happen to shower during such a moment and are fully covered by soap, you have a problem. During all our stay the internet speed provided via the WiFi router was rather disappointing, despite its SIM card and later on the router itself being replaced, the speed was around 1.8 MBps, this was barely enough to watch streaming TV; surfing the internet was possible but nerve racking and did negatively impact all our stay. Considering the price we paid for our stay such a slow internet speed is in fact not acceptable.
