Spacious Double Room by Batteresa Park - Zone 1

Location of the apartment was great for travel to the city and access to shopping.

Usually my accommodation is expensed through work, so this was a bit of a change funding it myself for a leisure trip. I couldn't stretch to £150+ a night, and this fit the bill - the reviews were generally positive and they didn't lie. It was a 20-minute walk from the tube, easy to find, and the access instructions were clear - if a little unconventional to what I'm used to. The room itself was huge, clean, and really comfortable - very warm! It's worth knowing the flat is split into two lockable rooms with a shared hallway, kitchen, and bathroom. I had no sign of anyone in the neighbouring room during my stay, which was fine - but as a woman travelling alone, I'd be lying if I said the setup wouldn't feel a little uncomfortable depending on who else was staying. Something to bear in mind. Overall - a pleasant, affordable stay. If you're after a budget-friendly base that's clean, quiet, and comfortable, this delivers. If guaranteed privacy is a must, you might want to look elsewhere.

The bathroom was okay - the shower had seen better days, but luckily I didn't need to use it. I arrived around 8pm, made myself a brew with my own tea bags, locked myself in, and had a peaceful night. The "check-out" process wasn't made clear (no front desk) - I had to enquire via Booking.com, and the response came later than I'd have liked - I figured it out. I left early and grabbed breakfast elsewhere, so didn't make use of the facilities.

I needes to stay in Battersea and the price and location was perfect for me

The building itself is a bit dodgy and smelly, but the flat is okay

bedroom didn't seem to have been cleaned properly as towel was dirty and unfolded, there was rubbish in the bin, and bed was messy and unmade so I washed to sheets myself as a precaution
