The check in process was never explained beforehand. The property contacted me through WhatsApp which I didn’t use before the trip. Most of us would think it was a scam as they were asking for a damage deposit payment through PayPal or bank, which was never returned. When I got there, security told me to look at WhatsApp for a lockbox code. Then the hosts said they wouldn’t give it until 3pm. It was 2:30 pm and I had to ask them. They ended up giving the keys and someone met me to collect the cash deposit. Upon check out, I had to ask them again last minute what the process was, they never contacted me to explain. They said their operations don’t open until 9am. It was 8am and I had to catch a bus to my next destination. They never returned the deposit. The property is private condos in a secluded area and they don’t have a proper staff. Security staff was very nice so that makes up for it a little bit. I don’t understand why they can’t have operations earlier in the morning when they know most people have flights or other travel plans to fulfill and it might be well before 9am…. This property is private condos, so be aware of the different check in and check out process. They contact you through WhatsApp for the check in code….
