Varenna by Foot - Green House

Lovely property clean and very good

I thought it was on the water from its photo. It is not !

The host, Sergio, was exceptional with all communications, including videos and instructions for travel from the train station to the lodging, as well as entering the property. He generously provided a large basket of a wide variety of snacks/treats as well as coffee, tea. The apartment had AC and wifi for all areas, and the kitchen had a filtered water supply of Still and Sparkling water, including extra cold. All of the rooms were clean and bright and with multiple power outlets. The kitchen was well stocked with utensiles The location was excellent... a 5 minute walk from the train station and from the beginning of the Lover's Walk along Lake Como. The town of Varenna and Lake Como was just steps away from our doorstep! Sergio also provided an excellent PDF with suggestions for restaurants, stores, ferry service, Taxi Boat Tours of Lake Como, Cooking Classes, Gardens, Museums, etc. We took advantage of some of these suggestions, which made our 2 day visit to Varenna extra special. Had we spent more days in Varenna, we would have taken advantage of more of Sergio's recommendations, and have experienced even more of the beauty, history, and culture of Varenna, Bellagio, and villages around Lake Como.

Close to everything. Lots of space. Clean. Great host

No elevator and a lot of stairs

The apartment building is in a very good location, close to everything with beautiful views.

There were many steps to climb to reach the apartment, which we did not know about until it was too late to find another booking. The neighbors were very noisy, banging on the adjoining walls with a hammer for hours. The bed and pillows were not very comfortable. We were given one towel for each of us and we had to ask for more, which didn't arrive until after we really needed them.
