Great location, but simply too many stairs for more elderly occupants.

Location relative to the pier and city was excellent.

There are too many uphill steps just getting in the front entrance this 3 level unit from the parking lot. The internal spiral stairs from the second level to the third loft level is so narrow that it can dangerous for more elderly occupants.

Excellent stay for a large group

Communication was excellent. They allowed us to store our luggage before check in. The kitchen was nice, with coffee supplies. Location easy to get to from the train station

It was so convincing to access to everywhere!

It is close to everything, the public boat, private dock, train/bus to Milan. The most highlight is the host/manager - Sergio, he is very helpful to answer the questions, arrange the transportation and storage luggage! If there is a higher rate than the highest available I would give the property A++.

Beautiful Varenna at the Como lake.

We stayed in the house for 2 nights as a group of 7 people in August 2025. The house is located in the centre of Varenna within the walking distance to all sightseeing and to the harbour. The owner was super friendly and organised our visit remotely in a very pleasant way.

The parking slot has been located at some distance to the house with the way over multiple stairs. It won't be accessible for a person in a wheelchair.

We loved the location, cleanliness, and space. Sergio was a fantastic host! Sergio helped with restaurants and ideas to make our stay enjoyable. We appreciated the transportation with Andrea- he was so helpful.

Lovely place to stay

Quiet area, short walk to the waterfront, small market across the street, private parking area, very clean, spacious, appreciated the fresh water, coffee, croissants and snacks.

It was quite warm during our visit and we only wish we could make the rooms cooler.

Not a good value for the money, better services/amenities at hotels.

The apartment building is in a very good location, close to everything with beautiful views.

There were many steps to climb to reach the apartment, which we did not know about until it was too late to find another booking. The neighbors were very noisy, banging on the adjoining walls with a hammer for hours. The bed and pillows were not very comfortable. We were given one towel for each of us and we had to ask for more, which didn't arrive until after we really needed them.

Great stay - truly recommend

The apartment is very spacious in a great location, the host is very kind, he provided lots of info (where to eat, supermarkets etc) before our arrival, the check-in is very simple and they stored our luggage in the first day so we could enjoy a nice day in Varenna, until checkin time. Very clean apartment and comfortable beds. Sergio stayed in touch with us, making our trip very good and he has some great restaurant recommendations. Bonus points for the water dispenser :)

Good location to enjoy Varenna

Sergio was very helpful sending all the details how to reach the place. The location id very conveniant near to the train statio, to the port and the lake promenade.

The matress was a bit strong for me. The walls are thin and you noise from the neighbors can be dusturbing. The loft is open space with very low ceiling and no separate room. Might be suitable only for kids. The stairs to reach the loft are very narrow and not comfortable

Tolle Lage, sehr hilfreicher, super netter Gastgeber. Unterstützer uns bestens mit Parkvorschlägen und bei der Restaurantsuche. Viel besser kann eine Lage in Varenna nicht sein. Sehr gut ausgestattetes Appartement.
