We greatly appreciated the apartment - it was clean, spacious (except for the bathroom!), very functional, and the location could not be beat. It was so quiet and had good light from large windows. We were able to make our own coffee and breakfast most days and then hit the streets with Central Park just across the street. Guest should be aware of the 41 steps up from the street which, after a long day of exploring, was a lot!

This place is in a wonderful location that can’t be beat, perfect for strolling through the park and heading to the AMNH. One block off the train, the apartment is very central and quiet. It’s large by NYC standards with a full kitchen. Check-in was a breeze!

In general it was a very pleasant stay, the apartment was just as expected and we have no issues at all in the 3 weeks we spent in there,. The location is amazing, across the street from central park!!!,. If anything I was disappointed of, the vrbo listing states that the location is 4 mins for the line 1 subway , and in reality is 15 mins away, and we needed to take this line in a daily basis for school. Other than that, we had an amazing time and the owner was very helpful and available for everything we needed,.

Overall, everything was simply OK. Starting with what was done right, the listing photos accurately represent the apartment layout and space. The property management team was very communicative and responsive to needs. The location is good, conveniently situated near the museum and central park and within blocks from a good cafe and a small grocer. Both mini-split AC systems in the apartment were very week, barely blowing any volume of air when we arrived. The property management team responded immediately to troubleshoot and they actually had two brand new window units installed first thing the next morning which fully resolved the issue!There were a few areas that could be better. First, the management team asks the renter to send a selfie of themselves holding their government issued photo identification to an unknown third-party email address as part of the rental approval (PII concern). Second, the actual address is a 12 minute walk from the address provided through VRBO (Safety concern). Third, walls and curtains are dirty; small roaches crawl out of the tub drain. That is the only place we saw bugs. There is no laundry in unit, so if you are staying a few days be prepared to run towels to a laundromat. The unit is on the third floor, 30 steps on a narrow and slanted staircase, no elevator. Building lobby/stairs are dirty and doesn't smell great. We booked for 6 nights, stayed for 4, then went to a hotel.
