The Pearl Cabana was exactly what we were looking for on our trip to St. Pete. It felt very old world Florida, had the cutest design details, and provided plenty of room for two friends on a weekend getaway. The hotel is 1 block from the beach access and walking distance to several restaurants and bars. Check in was super simple and didn't involve any interactions with staff but the staff left a long detailed message with everything we needed to know. Would absolutely stay here again!

Amazing gem!!! Honestly, in my 2 decades of traveling to 50+ countries, and staying at 20+ properties each year, this place is in the top 5% of my favorite properties. They just ticked every box—from proactive communication from the property manager about check-in (& early check in!) to the moment we arrived with the basket of thoughtful goodies with some souvenir mementos), the 1960s themed decor (the cute and fun grass wallpaper, the neon sign, etc.) and we loved the record player and eclectic collection of vinyl. Beyond the room, they pretty much thought of everything to make you happy on the property. The pool is AMAzING with retro lounge chairs, a dolphin fountain and an actual deep pool. They had so many floats and pool noodles so we didn’t need any. I found a perfect nap spot with the hammock strung between two palm trees. While we didn’t make use of it, they had a separate area for grilling and cornhole, and we didn’t have a furry friend with me but they even had a cute dog park! There’s free laundry. And a basket of board games in the rooms. I loved the waffle cotton bathrobes with their hot pink logo so I messaged the manager and sure enough you can buy one. There is “Paradise” bar & grill across the street at the beach and the beach has easy access and showers. The Pearl even provides beach chairs, some beach toys (we were not traveling with kids tho) & a beach wagon you can haul it all with—super convenient). I will for sure be back when next time in St. Pete.
Traveler’s tip: we stayed in Cabana 104 and so glad we did because it was ground level and had a back door that took you directly to the pool —and great views of the pool from the kitchen and dining area windows. Looks like Cabana 105 also has the same layout and pool access, so both are probably the best rooms in terms of lighting, layout and pool access.
Tons of restaurants and cafes in walking distance. A couple of blocks from the small downtown area with shops.
Can’t fault anything. Nearly everything was perfect!
