The Rocky Mountain Retreat is a beautifully designed, large 4 bedroom 4 bathroom house with a covered hot tub! The heart of this home is on the 3rd floor so you can enjoy the immense views of the Continental Divide while you indulge in Family time. The home boasts multiple decks, 2 living rooms, a wood stove, a big, well-equipped kitchen, plus indoor/outdoor dining. The land is as enchanting as the home, with trails to explore, and a bench sits in nature, beckoning you to enjoy the best view on the land. Come to Rollinsville, Colorado. Sitting high on a foothill to the Rocky Mountains, this Rollinsville home will be the perfect Base Camp for your Colorado Mountain Adventure! Summertime means hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, or just chillin! Winter means snowshoes, sledding, skiing and boarding at the local Eldora Mountain Ski Resort in nearby Nederland! Fall brings the turning Aspen leaves, and Spring has the wild flowers. You simply can't go wrong in the Colorado Mountains! Even the big snowstorms are an adventure! Come on up and get a taste of mountain living! You are in for a treat!

As you drive through the quiet mountain subdivision to this home (please drive slowly, like a Local!) you may notice some signs that say "7 Dudes". The Rocky Mountain Retreat was built by 7 brothers, in the midst of a mature evergreen forest. The circular driveway wends its way through the tall conifers, to deliver you at the grand entrance to this 3 story home. There is plenty of parking. The massive doorway makes the home look smaller than it really is, but get ready for spaciousness! Enter through the Mud Room (please leave your shoes and boots here) and you are welcomed into the lower level of the home by a large, mountain-inspired family room with a wood stove. Leather couches offer comfort and warmth. There is also a bedroom here with twin beds and a bunkbed, and a full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. There is one laundry room down here. Head up the stairs to the middle level, where you will find the Primary suite with a king sized bed and a lovely bathroom with a shower, 2 sinks, and a walk in closet. There is a Queen bedroom and another with 2 twins, plus a 3/4 bathroom (shower only) that these bedrooms share. There is a linen closet and another laundry room! There is also a mid level deck with plenty of seating and a covered hot tub! One more flight of stairs to the upper floor and you will have reached the very heart of this beautiful home. This is where the views get amazing, so the kitchen, dining, and living room are all up here where the whole group can enjoy being nestled amidst the Indian Peaks range of the Rocky Mountains together! There is a large deck up here, with seating and dining. There are cushions and an umbrella available to make it a perfect stay. There is one more 3/4 bathroom on the upper floor, as well as a fun loft space. The rustic beauty and home decor will immerse you in "mountain living". We think you will really love it!

Rachel was the Mom to the 7 Brothers that built the Rocky Mountain Retreat. There is a Tree House dedicated to Mom on the property. It is called "Rachel's Roost" and we keep it locked up for supervision reasons, as it is somewhat hidden in the woods. If your group would like to have access to the tree house, you can arrange that with us and we will be happy to make it available. We will ask for a $100 payment to assure us that you will be responsible with it. (We just don't want kids to explore it on their own, thanks!)
There are a couple outbuildings on the property. A small shed houses firewood and trash barrels. There is a locked up repair shop near the house that is not available for guests.

The town of Nederland is a great place to discover, from the Carousel of Happiness, Wild Bear Ecology Center, Craft breweries, Chipeta Park, Barker Reservoir (fishing only) and also great restaurants. If you love Gold Rush History, or gambling! You'll love that Central City/Black Hawk are only 30 minutes away. Red Rocks Amphitheater is also less than an hour. So, what are you waiting for?
