Pros: Convenient location: Easy walking distance to the historic old town, the Roman wall, and plenty of dining options, with straightforward access to the Camino Primitivo route. Group value: Lots of space to accommodate up to six people, making it an economical option for a larger group or family. Functional kitchen: Equipped with a good-sized refrigerator and enough cookware and utensils to easily prepare and reheat meals. Unique layout: Features quirky, interesting indoor spaces throughout the apartment.

Cons: Bed comfort: The mattresses were lumpy and not terribly comfortable. Ventilation, lighting, and noise: Airflow throughout the apartment was wanting. The master bedroom had outside ventilation, but it faced directly onto a bright street lamp and continuous street noise—an eye mask and earplugs are definitely warranted. Security/quirk in third bedroom: The window in the third bedroom opened directly into a neighbor’s closet/interior space and could not be locked. Cleanliness: Overall cleanliness fell short of the bright, pristine impression given in the listing photos. Overpowering artificial scents: The apartment had numerous synthetic air fresheners deployed throughout, which were harsh on the airways and had to be promptly gathered and removed.
