Our stay at The Pontoon was perfect. The property was spotlessly clean and very nicely decorated. It was lovely to sit outside on the decking and watch the tide ebbing and flowing. Easy walking distance to the railway station and into the old part of Leigh on Sea where we found plenty of lovely places to eat and drink. We had a pleasant 3 mile walk into Southend and caught the train back. Such a quirky place to stay. We loved it!
The sofa beds are quite small. Don't expect to get 2 adults on each, my 6ft sons needed one sofa bed each.

Location and views really are amazing. You probably won’t get any better in that area.
The booking process is really bad. They make you do an ID verification and damage waiver after you book but there’s no mention of that until after booking. The beds are small, ours was very squeaky. The bathroom and kitchen are very small which wouldn’t suit a larger group, the chairs were all wobbly and the bedroom door was hard to keep shut. When you pay a premium you just expect things like that.
