I had the pleasure of staying for two nights, which was not nearly enough. Michelle and Scott have worked so hard to create a comfortable and very pleasant location to decompress and retreat from the world! The setting is idyllic, and the guest cabin is just perfect. Very comfortable, well stocked kitchen. Their personal touch is everywhere! Cute woodsy knick knacks abound throughout the cottage. It's easy to see how much thought and work they put into creating such a relaxing and perfect location. I visited many local sites, including beautiful waterfalls. Two days barely scraped the surface of attractions. Both Michelle and Scott were gracious, friendly, helpful and did everything they could do to create a perfect retreat. Without reservation, I highly recommend their lovely cottage, and I do plan to return in the future.

Scott & Michelle are excellent hosts! The cabin had everything we needed to relax after long days of hiking & exploring the Ozarks.

Upon my arrival, (unfortunately due to traffic I was much later than expected checking in) I felt completely welcomed. I was greeted by Michelle and Scott. They were more than willing to go through everything with me to make my stay “bump” free, even letting me know “if there’s anything you need don’t hesitate to ask”. Michelle went through everything on the indoors and Scott the outdoors. (Mechanics and to familiarize me with everything) I knew at that point this stay was going to be good, but what came after … was nothing short of amazing! No matter what you’re looking for, this couple has not skimped! They have thought of everything! Since it was dark when I arrived I was unable to “see” everything but when I awoke the next morning, I needed to check twice to make sure I was still alive and breathing! The landscape was breathtaking; so peaceful right down to the little pond and bench to just sit and ponder, meditate, journal, write your next chapter, soul search, or take in all that nature has to offer. If you’re looking to do tourist things, they can lead you in the right direction. During my stay, I also experienced not only a bad storm, but tornadoes that touched down very close. Michelle and Scott made sure that my safety was priority! If you’re even considering an air bnb, or just needing a place to stay, unwind, or decompress, don’t overlook this one! I assure you, you will not be disappointed!! From the moment I packed, said my goodbye’s and headed out the driveway, I was already planning my next trip and stay here!!! It felt like I was saying goodbye to my own home/family!!

Ironwood Cabin has a cozy feel to it; the common area is nice and open with a view of the wooded hillside. It is private without feeling isolated. Just right for a couple’s getaway.
We enjoyed visiting several of the area parks and rivers that are easy to get to from the cabin. There are more than a few areas near the cabin to explore that we did not get to this trip that we look forward to visiting next time.
