This house was perfect for our family and dog! It is extremely well kept especially for allowing pets. The game room was a huge hit with the kids. The covered dock was great for fishing or for just sitting on the swing. The house is in a great location as well. New roads stores and restaurants are just 10 to 15 minutes up the road. Baton Rouge and other activities we wanted to do were 30 to 45 minutes. We have stayed on a few other rentals at false river and this one has been the best so far!

Our family had absolutely an amazing time together at this beautiful property. We spent 4 nights there to celebrate our anniversary and our daughter's birthday. It is super convenient to St. Francisville, Cat Island, Angola, plantation homes, and much more, while offering a peaceful escape from the hustle bustle of everyday life. We literally spent every morning and evening out on the dock. We cooked out there as well, which was a huge plus for us, as we love to grill. The home is decorated beautifully. I want that master bedroom bed for myself! Comfort, class, and convenience. The home is very well equipped with so many things, I could never mention everything. I can say that anything I looked for in the kitchen I found, so much that I could have never used it all. Towels, hand towels, and washcloths were plentiful as well. There was plenty paper products and cleaning supplies. We have rented some homes where we literally had to go but toilet paper and garbage bags. Not here. I am telling you, they have you covered. Plenty covers, extra blankets, and pillows as well. The house cooled very well in the 100 degree heat of August. The dual coffee pot was absolutely wonderful. Lots of places have one or the other. This way, you are sure to get the morning coffee you love and want most on vacation. I know we did, and the huge bonus was drinking it out on the dock every morning watch the birds fly, fish hitting the top of the water, and the gentle breeze blowing. One morning, I even got up early enough for the sunrise. Do that at least once. The sunsets were gorgeous every evening. We have some beautiful clear skies the whole time we were there. Back into the home, plenty of storage space, a huge TV in the living room, which was great for video games especially. We will keep this property on our go-to list for sure. We truly hope to make a return trip and soon! While you are in the area check out Rosedown Plantation. It's the most beautiful of them all. Also, go to Jarreau's in New Roads and The Francis in St. Francisville. The duck confirmed eggrolls were to die for. Angola has an interesting museum, and Cat Islands largest cypress tree was truly an adventure in itself. Do not hesitate to book this property. I cannot imagine anyone being unhappy here. Note: The driveway is steep, so back in (it's a busy road so be careful) and try to go in a SUV or truck if you can for easier entering. Owners have great communication and are SO helpful. Book it now!
