My husband and I always come to Callaway for the lights every year with friends and family. We normally stay closer to Callaway but this house is a perfect location, just a 10 minute ride to the entrance and you come in from the south so you avoid the lines to get in. Aside from the location the house is well stocked and we really enjoyed the screened porch. Our grandson loved the catch and release fishing in the pond. The decorations inside and outside the house were so festive and well done. I’m sure the house would be equally great anytime of year and we look forward to coming back.

This stay was a huge blessing to our family. If you're looking for fancy, it may not be the best fit for you. But if you're looking for a cozy, comfortable, clean home with fun character, this fits the bill! The hosts, Karen and Jim, are the most hospitable people. They are so welcoming and helpful! My kids loved the pond/ lake, and were allowed to use the Jon boats. SO fun! The back porch is the perfect place of serenity, with a lovely view.
The kitchen was super well- stocked with equipment and supplies. They have every cooking and serving item on hand. I'd recommend you do your grocery shopping on your way in, in a bigger town or city, since there aren't any full grocery stores nearby. Very few restaurants nearby, either, so prepare to drive a little ways if you aren't cooking.
We loved all the little cozy nooks in the house, where one could tuck away to read or lounge. The Floorplan is unique... the bathroom isn't connected to the main bedroom.... but that didn't bother us.
