This place worked well for our trip. Great location!
The only minor issue is that the listing says 2 full bathrooms. While it has two full bathrooms, it only has a tub (no shower) in one. Not easy to wash hair in the tub since the water comes out of an old fashioned faucet that goes straight down the side. Other than that, it was great!

We had a very nice stay in Penn Yan. The house is walking distance to town, extremely clean and comfortable for two couples with room for more. I would book again if we head back to the area. We were able to bring our dog, however the yard wasn’t fully fenced in at the time of our stay so if that’s important to you I would check about that before booking.

Slight mix up with the door code, but the host was very responsive and resolved our issue in no time! Keep in mind this is an old house, but it still had everything we needed to get ready for our wedding. Host was even kind enough to give us a late check out. Thank you Paul !!

Newly remodeled home with just the right mix of "old charm" and "modern comforts". The rounded turrets shape of the front of the home makes the interior design unique! There is both a formal front and another "back of the house" stair case to access the upstairs bedrooms. The rooms are large and reflect the traditional layout of homes of this era. There is space for game nights, family dinners, kids and dogs playing on the floor and lots of comfy seating for watching movies. Alternatively, it is also set up for couples to eat at a smaller more intimate area. The kitchen has a nice coffee/breakfast bar and is well stocked for cooking. The bedrooms are comfy and cute with ample dressers and closet space. There is a full bath with tub adjacent to the Master upstairs and a full bath with shower on the main floor. We were able to feel "at home" and relax in this welcoming space.
Front and back porches were perfect for evenings outside. The yard is not fully fenced and is still under development, but the owner plans to fully fence it and be secure in the Spring. As it is, come prepared to walk your pets in the neighborhood.
The neighborhood is quiet and close to all of Penn Yan's downtown charm. We shopped and ate and hiked during our visit. We met several of the neighbors and found everyone to be extremely helpful and friendly. It is a great place to stay!
