Nice private beach. You get beach vibes without being surrounded by a lot of people. There was glass that washed up on the shore each day, so we picked up as much as we could. Great for fishing. There is a bait store just down the road before the island. Dollar General and a convenience store are not far from it. Beds were comfortable. Definitely a lot of pillows! We could not get the remote to the tvs figured out but the remote for the living room works for all of them or you can download the remote on your phone and that worked as well. We tried the Catalina Restaurant in Bayou la Batre and it was fantastic. There is grill that is not pictured but we didn’t use it. We did take the kayaks out one day. The water is not deep at all. We wish the hot water was just a little hotter than what it was. Thank you for having this place available, it was a nice home away from home. Our kids enjoyed it!

My husband and I stayed at the Bay Vista for a week. The house is very nice. Excellent location. Very close to Dauphin Island. Excellent restaurants in Bayou la Batre about 15 minutes away. Fresh shrimp markets were also really close. There is a Dollar General and a convenience store 2 minutes away. The little private beach was awesome for me to relax and my husband to fish. We spoke to one of the owners who was extremely nice and helpful. The snacks and fruit were nice little extras. We hope to come back again.

My husband and I stayed at Bay Vista for 3 nights, 9/30-10/3. It is a very nice home with its own private beach which was a total delight the entire time we were there. The views were absolutely amazing, and we watched the sunrise every morning. We arrived the day after the full moon, but it also rose right above the water, and it was stunning. The sound of the waves both day and night were soothing and relaxing. My son lives just up the road in Theodore, and he brought his children over for a while two different times. The kids just 2 and almost 4 enjoyed the snacks that were provided and the fruit also. It was very well stocked. They spent time at the beach and my son used a lifejacket for my grandson, amazing there was one that fit a 2-year-old, and he took him out on one of the kayaks. My son also fished right off the beach and caught a small catfish. We spent time under the deck also and enjoyed the hammocks. The stairs that lead to the beach are very nice, I didn't remember seeing those in the pictures, but it was a great addition. We also took the 15–20-minute drive to Dauphin Island and rode the ferry to Gulf Shores and went to Fort Morgan. I would definitely stay at Bay Vista again, hopefully next time it will be more than just 3 nights. We had a wonderful time.
