Our stay was prompted by mandatory evacuations ordered ahead of Hurricane Milton. I have 2 cats and was cat sitting my neighbor's 2 cats when Milton became a threat. I sent messages through the Vrbo app to the hosts of three different properties prior to booking asking if an exception could be made to the "No Pet" policy due to the circumstances. I promised to restrict 2 of the cats to the 1/2 bathroom and 2 to the laundry room. I heard back from 2 of the hosts but not this one. I reached out again through the app and, when no response was received I went ahead and booked this place for our stay. Once confirmed, I sent another request via the link in the confirmation text. Still no response. Upon arrival I called the property "co-owner" and was told that no exception would be made. I had to reserve a room in a local "pet-friendly" hotel, the most disgusting place I ever saw, for $85/night. I was very disappointed with the lack of response to my 3 messages.
Upon returning home later on the day we checked out, a member of our part discovered she had left her iPad behind. I texted the property "co-owner", who was always responsive and helpful, about the situation. He followed up with the cleaning company and was told that they didn't find it. He later followed up with the guests who had checked in later on the same day we checked out; they didn't see it. Unfortunately it seems to be an acceptable practice for guests' personal items left behind to "disappear." Had this property used a cleaning service who vetted their employees properly, I am fairly confident that the iPad would have "found".
The property itself was adequate though it is in need of a great deal of updating. Several electrical outlets didn't work, flooring was piecemealed together in the closets and the vinyl was coming up preventing adequate cleaning to take place resulting in the accumulation of dirt and grime.
We arrived after dark and had difficulty ensuring we were at the right house because the house numbers were obscured by a decorative wreath hung on the front exterior.
One of the master bathroom doors wouldn't stay closed and there was a slight musty smell in the bedrooms. The windows and screens are quite old and un need of attention.
I was happy with the comfort of the beds, the bathroom linens, and the house rules.

We were very impressed with our stay for our son's OTS graduation. Very comfortable with very nice beds and great gathering areas. Would definitely recommend!

We brought a group from our church to Montgomery to work with and learn from another church there. We stayed here and another house on this street. This place was very nice and clean. We played games around the large dining room table, cooked breakfast for a huge crew on the 5 burner gas stove, and slept pretty good too! The extra room on the back (kind of a closed in porch I think) gave the kids their own space to play as well!
It's a great place to stay in Montgomery!
