This is a place for a young business person, who is traveling light, and just needs a comfortable bed to crash for a few nights. Several large TVs with good access to a range of channels. Very close access to the freeway.
Guest House was created by the kind owner of the main house to generate revenue. The owner appears to be a bath and kitchen remodeler, so he used top-level finishes and the unit is modern and attractive. The neighborhood is made safe by double locked gates, high-walled fences and motion-activated lights.
The owner and family live on the premises and are available to assist if needed. The 538 feet include one very small bathroom that is reminiscent of a very tiny dorm room bath – and while well appointed, requires one to turn sideways to wiggle into the stall shower between the sink edge and the wall. Shower is smaller than a phone booth. Toilet takes up full width of the stall area, so toilet paper is perched on the back of the toilet since no room for a holder. Single bathroom sink does not have an extra inch for a very small travel case for cosmetics – only room for a toothbrush and single comb.
Large king bed with good high thread count sheets – takes up 90%+ of the single bedroom, which requires luggage to be left in living room on the low-to-the-ground couch, or on the bed if only one occupant.
The unit has dishes and kitchen utensils and a small stove. No dishwasher, washing machine, or safe to lock up valuables which would seem advisable. Heating is provided by a good-looking small electric fireplace, which the owner kindly supplanted at my request to increase the heat. Not certain of the capacity of the small wall AC unit, as it was cool during my visit. Does not have central air.
Back area is a portion of the area between the main home and the guest house, divided diagonally by an expandable canvas fence.
