Ratings and reviews
4.0 / 10.0
Upon arriving, the first thing you notice is the extremely steep and sketchy driveway. I was aware of it from reading the reviews but you don't fully grasp how steep it is until you see it first hand. Pictures don't do it justice either. Our 4wd suv handled it fine but we were definitely nervous our first time driving up it. It's not just how steep it is, it's also very rutted out from the weather, which makes it a little dangerous. Do NOT rent if you dont have an awd/4wd suv or truck!
Upon parking, we looked at the grounds, and the grass had not been cut in at least 2 weeks, if not more. I expected that whoever takes care of the property, would've had it cut a few days before our arrival. Instead, someone came to cut it the last day of our stay.
Entering the home my initial opinion was a positive one. Everything appeared new and clean. After spending a little time inside though we began to notice how unclean it actually was. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom had at least a 1/2 inch of dust on the blades, under the bed I found old socks, tissues, and a disgusting amount of dust and who knows what else. Clearly no one had swept under the bed in probably years! The baseboards throughout the home were covered in dust, cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling, thick dust on the registers and vents. My husband and son had horrible allergies our entire stay there, from all the dust I presume.
There are a number of amenities listed that weren't actually there: playstation 5, Nintendo, foosball table, coffee (they had tea bags but no coffee or sugar).
The hot tub wouldn't heat beyond 98 degrees and seemed to have too much chemicals (my eyes burned and watered the entire time I used it but thankfully my skin didn't have a reaction).
I took photos of most of the issues I just listed so you can see for yourself. Clearly whoever is being paid to maintain the property is doing the bare minimum. When there is an automatic $150 cleaning fee attached to the rental agreement, I expect the place to be cleaned a lot better than it was.

Our stay was fantastic! This place is cute and roomy. It was just my girlfriend and myself here so we really had room to spare. The hot tub is fantastic and was VERY clean. Some places would benefit from a better dusting and the lawn could've used a mow. The driveway was VERY daunting for my car, I brought it because the listing said "this property has a steep driveway. Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive may be necessary in some weather conditions to access the property" I guess they didn't expect a car 3 inches from the ground to have AWD haha! My car ended up handling the driveway fine, however I'd recommend an SUV. I'd strongly recommend they add pictures of the driveway and fix the large pitting that rain run-off has caused because those spots could easily swallow up a wheel. Overall the place was great and I would certainly stay here again!

The house and property are very nice. The beds are very comfortable. The only downside was the wood deck is a rough in places. Definitely could use a good sanding. Overall I was pleased.

The home was clean and beautiful, definitely gives that wood cabin feel with the added bonus of modern ammenities. AWD is necessary for the driveway, do NOT book this cabin if you don't have a car with AWD. However, the steep hill the property is located on provided a lot of privacy from the road. I really enjoyed how secluded the cabin felt, every window you looked out had lush green, just beautiful!

We had a wonderful stay. This cabin is very nicely done, cozy, and a newer build! The string lights outside, the firepit, and the hot tub are nice touches that we enjoyed. The cabin has the essentials you will need in the bathrooms and the kitchen. It's a little ways away from the trails but very doable. The driveway was rough getting in and out. It could probably be regraded. Our minivan had trouble going up the driveway to get out. We could not get out going forwards, but putting it in reverse and going up backwards worked. Lol! Overall we loved our stay and would stay here again.

We loved it here! Good location, less than 20 minutes to Hocking Hills. Nearby gas station, Dollar General, and Savealot. We do wish that a vacuum cleaner or even a broom and dust pan was provided, being a pet friendly cabin. Our pups brought in the outside with them and it was annoying not having something to clean up the sand and dirt they tracked in. The driveway is very steep and fwd is highly recommended! Overall good stay.
