The photos are exactly what you get. This place has true potential. We thought we'd finally found one we would actually return to! It is clean and well kept. The pools and other amenities are right outside the door, which my kids loved. We thoroughly enjoyed the first couple days of our stay.
Now for the bad, the host failed to inform us of construction being done inside the resort. Navigation through the resort was a nightmare. Heavy machinery is blocking the roads, the walk to and from the beach is dangerous as you're weaving in and out of construction zones. Everything outside is coated in dirt and construction dust. The work going on apparently hit a water main and we were without water ALL DAY for three whole days of our stay. The water would go off around 9-10 am and not come back on until late evening as they made repairs. When speaking with the guest contact we were just given excuses as to it being out of their control, which I 100% agree that they weren't in charge of the water being turned off. However, the ladies in the office offered a much different story and suggested that complaints be filed against the hosts. She said hosts were given plenty of warning ahead of time and they refuse to make their renters aware because they'd lose the booking. She advised the issue had been going on for some time and the hosts leave the guards and office workers to have to front the questions being asked. She was very frustrated and advised hosts could save themselves, their guests, and the resort employees the hassle by simply informing guests of what is going on so they could choose another property.
Once construction is complete, I think this place would be a nice choice. I personally won't return because I felt as if the host was dishonest. Not having water ruined so many of our plans. Imagine coming in from a long day at the beach where you made dinner plans and evening activities and you can't even shower to get ready to go out. We witnessed MULTIPLE families coming down to the hot tub to rinse off so they could go about their evening plans without a shower. I would also like to mention the host did offer to extend our stay for two nights, but construction was nowhere near complete. I couldn't have been paid to stay additional days with no water. The host also obtained my Venmo account, but I've not seen a transaction come through.
