The overall experience was OK. The owner was out of the country so her sister was our host. She was gracious and helpful. The space was as described, but the 14 steep steps up to the suite were difficult. The wi-fi did not work very well so I had to use by "hotspot" for a descent wi-fi connection. The suite was clean, many of the amenities described were not available such as the outside patio as it was being remodel. The weather was rainy so we probably would not have used it anyway. I would give the experience a "B". rating.

Stayed here for a week in April and really enjoyed the place. The location was perfect in downtown Danvers.

We had a wonderful stay in your beautiful home! After spending our days in Boston at various events and attractions (the commuter train is a short 20 minute drive away), it was nice to have such a clean, comfortable and quiet place to stay. Everything was just perfect with nice, welcoming little touches! Thank you for being such great hosts!

Let me start with the positive: 1. Danvers was central to our Boston-area vacation; 2. The property was clean and has basic essential items needed. 3. Excellent shower, bathroom, kitchen. 4. Friendly host & hostess - sister and brother in law of owner who was in Brazil. Some negatives: 1. 14 very steep steps to the guest suite. 2. poor internet - mostly non-functional; I had to use by "hotspot" to get connected- The hostess sent a young man to see if he could correct the problem, but I knew more about the internet connections than he did. He told me that the router is shared with another upstairs tenant - thus dividing the strength of the signal. I did a troubleshooting of the network and found a "filter" //viglink.com It went on to say "Peter Lowe's Ad and tracking server list." I think that tenant is using the internet for a business and therefore has compromised the internet/ I suggested to the young man that the owner needed to get a different router for each unit; not try to use one router for both. 3. The bed was not easy to navigate. It has a 6" piece of semi-dense form on top of the mattress rather than a "pillow-top" cover - a poor substitute. 4. The unit was extremely cramped for the two of us. We are not large people. 5. The amenities advertised were in process of being rebuilt and therefore not available - out door deck, firepit, etc. To be fair, the weather was cold and rainy most of the time. 6. There were six cars parked in the driveway - very tight. 7. Two of the drawers in the dresser were broken - I repaired them.
