We did enjoy our stay in Idaho Falls and we think this is a lovely home, but there were some issues upon arrival and during our stay.
Upon arrival there were some electrical issues, the TV wouldn't turn on, but a man came by to show us how to work that. However, the bank of outlets in the kitchen on the sink side of the kitchen would not function and neither would the dishwasher. So, we were unable to clean dishes using the dishwasher.
We brought our dogs and kept them in the backyard, however, we had to pick up 12 piles of dog poop upon arrival. 1 pile that my daughter ran through.
We were going to bbq burgers, but the bbq was found to be quite dirty with cheese melted all over the grill. We would have cleaned it, but the bbq brush has no more bristles on it, so we didn't bbq.
The overall cleanliness of the home was lacking. In the master bedroom the bedside tables have sticky stuff on the surface and the backing of someone's earing. The shower curtain has pink mildew on the inside of it. All the cabinet knobs in the kitchen were sticky to touch, so we wiped all those down. The fridge also had residue on it and the handle made me cringe to touch, I had to wipe that down too. There was an opened popcorn packet left on the counter downstairs.
We were unable to play air hockey because the puck was broken into 4 pieces and there were no ping pong balls anywhere. A bummer for our kids who were most excited to utilize that gaming table downstairs.
The sprinklers came on at 5:30pm on Tuesday and ran until after 8:30pm. That was a definite inconvenience because we were going to roast marshmallows in the fireplace, but couldn't seeings as the sprinklers were running. The kids also couldn't play in the backyard in the evening due to the sprinklers running. You would think they'd set the timers for early in the morning as opposed to dinner time and in the heat of the day.
I think that if these issues were remedied then this home would be a very nice place to stay, but honestly it was a bummer to arrive and discover the house wasn't all that clean and to know we're paying a $298 cleaning deposit and an additional pet deposit.
I emailed the host and owner directly, but didn't get a response. Seeings as we had to pick up after previous dogs in the yard, couldn't use the bbq and had to clean surfaces in the home in order to use those surfaces, I was hoping at a minimum they would refund our pet deposit and a portion of the cleaning deposit. We'll see!

The house is well stocked and very well labeled so things are easy to find. The location is very central and makes it easy to get anywhere in Idaho falls, or even get out of town if you want. Very accommodating to large groups. My family has young kids and there were lots of kids toys that kept them happy and entertained during our stay. The house was clean and very homey. We loved it. FYI, Most of the beds are on the hard side. They felt like maybe purple mattresses or some kind of memory foam. But we loved it and will definitely stay again! Communication was prompt and helpful if we needed anything

The best thing about this house is that it caters to all ages. I brought my mother, my 21-month old daughter and myself and the house had something for each of us. It was nice to not have to pack a pack n play or high chair. There were many books that I read to my daughter and even a cute little rocking chair that she was obsessed with. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the house, but it was comfortable and everything worked. The heating system is weird, but the owner gave specific instructions on using it that helped. This house is in a great location and a quick drive to just about anywhere you want to go.

There were so many books and games for my family to read and play during our stay. My kids also liked the little play house in the back yard. I could tell the kitchen had new appliances, counters, floors, etc. and was stocked with all of the utensils, pots, and pans we needed to make Thanksgiving dinner. And it's located on a quiet street.
