Finding a house to accommodate a large family and their fur babies is not the easiest. Having a bed for humans and a yard for the dogs to run was a vacation treat.
We celebrated an early Thanksgiving and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, utensils and pots. The large dining table with numerous chairs and a conveniently located bench made it easy to bring just about everyone to the table.
The view was beautiful. Watched a group of birds fly about on the lake. Saw an eagle in one of the trees. Watched a few boats motor across the lake. Watched the KC Chiefs win in the last seconds with a blocked kick.
It was a memorable long weekend.

The house had everything you'd ever need in a rental. So much thought was put into the experience. There is a BBQ place called Honey Creek BBQ down the street (walking distance) that is excellent and the owners are so nice. Back to the house, our stay was comfortable, easy to access, stylish and well worth the cost. I highly recommend to anyone booking a trip to Grand Lake!

We rented this beautiful place to celebrate my dad's birthday. It comfortably held our four families. The house was clean and beautifully furnished. The view and the deck are worth the trip alone. The weather was great for our first few days and we had fun fishing from the dock and using the fire pit. The last few days it was cold and rainy but the large living room and kitchen gave us plenty of room to still enjoy the view through the wall of windows. This house had everything we needed. The quiet location was a plus. We didn't have any pets but did take note of the nice, fenced in yard.
Some people in our party have trouble with lots of stairs so I was happy to discover two bedrooms on the main level. There is a single upstairs bedroom and the downstairs has a bedroom and bunk room that both require a staircase to access but people with mobility issues could use the short 5 step stair on the side of the house to get to the lower yard or bunk room if needed. A house on a hillside is nearly guaranteed to have stairs so you'll have to give some to get some. We all voted that it was absolutely worth it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to stay here again!
