About this bed and breakfast
There are two areas in the house for watching TV, the library and the sitting area near the kitchen and breakfast table.
The house has beautiful common areas like a gorgeous living room, a library, a large dining room where we occasionally hold large dinners for our guests and community members. You would be able to participate in these dinners for an additional fee if you so desire. You can also order a private dinner with a day notice.
There are also lovely outdoor spaces you can use.
The HISTORY: The house was built in 1935 by the first head physician of our local Pardee Hospital. Later it was purchased by a Hungarian Count. There were priceless works of art in the house, including Rembrandt and Francois Boucher paintings, rare porcelains etc. The Count was in a relationship with Liberace. Yes! You read right! Thee Liberace, famous pianist and entertainer. The Count and Liberace added the turret and the music room to the house because they entertained a lot. Currently the turret houses the dining room downstairs and the Anna Suite upstairs. The music room is now Dr. Filiz's consultation and treatment room. She does see some patients Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. Her services would also be available to book for you. She is a Doctor of Oriental and Functional Medicine, licensed in NC and FL.
We look forward to having you. You are sure to have an unforgettable stay at Inspiration-House.
