About this house rental
Welcome to Cressy House, one of the most beautiful and unique properties in Prince Edward County! Experience a bit of European charm in the heart of Ontario wine country.
We ask that you please read the whole listing before making a booking and please include your entire guest count of adults and children on your booking request. Escape the city life with a private estate situated on 6 acres, 500 feet of private waterfront, swimming pool, several fireplaces, post and beam construction, exterior fireplaces, Green Egg BBQ, several outdoor dining and relaxing areas, a 30,000 square foot perrenial garden, lavender field, vegetable garden, orchard, sheep along with breathtaking views and sunsets.
Cressy House is owned and operated by chef Grant van Gameren and Sunny Stone, owner of some of Toronto’s most notable restaurants including Bar Isabel, Bar Raval Quetzal and we welcome you to enjoy it as we love sharing it with individuals who are as passionate about food, wine and most importantly, relaxing in the County.
Our small family of 4 including our dog Tahona live on the property. There are no shared amenities other then access to the waterfront.
Our property is a perfect fit to accommodate your family or friends for a long weekend or week long getaway. Unfortunately we cannot host weddings on our property as per the county officials and recommend checking out 100 Acre Wood which is a great venue not far away.
We have a 3 night minimum in the high season and ask that you keep exterior noise to respectable levels during your stay as noise travels.
We grow vegetables on the property and have farm fresh chicken eggs available.
For a special experience, Please inquire about our private dinners hosted by chef Grant van Gameren for 8-10 ppl as he prepares a family style meal cooked over fire for you and your guests.
Attractions nearby include Cressy mustard, Stella’s eatery, Fifthtown Cheese, County Cider Co, Waupoos winery, Lake on the Mountain, the Miller house and Cape vinyards.
We are a child and dog friendly accommodation with cribs, a kids play room, baby gates, pack n play, and inflatable toddler beds. Please let us know In your booking if you require any of these. We allow a maximum of one dog on the property unless previously discussed and they must be good with children, other dogs and livestock. We ask that you include information about your breed and temperament of your dog on your booking request.
Your guests should also be ok with dogs as ours has full range of the property while outside and will possibly pay a visit from time to time.

If you're looking for a cozy spot to accommodate a good-sized group, look no further! The Cressy House is the perfect place to unwind with friends and family, sit by the fire and enjoy some local wine. We spent a weekend here for my birthday and was everything we were looking for - quiet, cozy with views of the lake. Highly recommend.

It's rare to find a rental that ticks all the boxes -- well-appointed, quiet, serene, spacious, charming and unique. The Cressy House does this and more!
The house is beautifully decorated with comfortable furnishings. We most loved the many little nooks that made the place so special. Although it was more house than we needed for a family of 3, it would not have felt crowded with a group of 8 or 10 as there's so many places to go/escape for those quiet moments.
Walking the grounds, exploring Grant's enchanting garden, sitting to enjoy the sunrise or swimming in the pool -- it's truly a place to relax, reflect and rejuvenate.
Grant couldn't have been more hospitably, sharing the garden with us and just being very chill and welcoming.
