Elia City Apartments

Really was happy to see a grocery store down below the apartment building..The women at the front desk of the “sister “ hotel, Elia Sea Suites, were Very helpful!! They arranged tours for us and let my granddaughters swim at the pool at the Hotel a few times. The Hotel has airport transfers and when we finally arrived after 4 flights from the USin at 11:40 pm they were there waiting for us..

Big rooms and 2 separately balcony and good kitchen

Excellent, new apartment around 10 mins walk to the old town and new town/bus stop. In a residential area, handy supermarket downstairs. Big disappointment was the balcony which was in shade all day and had a view of the wall of the next door building just a few metres away.We did try to swap but all booked and apparently the Classic apartments all have the same awful views. This should be mentioned in the property details to inform choice. Very clean, Marina the house keeper is friendly and helpful. Generally well equipped though we only had one scratched saucepan and a frying pan with a domed base to cook with, so not ideal. Also no draining rack, no tea towel, bring your own dishwasher and washing machine detergents too.

Enjoyed a two-night stay at Elia City Apartments in Chania. The apartment was convenient to the beach and many interesting areas. We were even able to catch a pop up farmer’s market where we purchased some fresh produce. The apartment was perfect for my daughter and me. Just wish they provided a dish towel. But we used the oven, fridge and freezer, iron and board, the AC, and even turned on the tv and were surprised to find NHK for some interesting history on Japan, our next destination. And the bonus for this location was having a little grocery store right next door!
