This was the perfect place for my family and I. We love going going up to Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island and this by far the best place we've stayed. It was quiet, small, had it's own lake where my husband and kids could fish. We were close enough to Mackinaw City and the ferry. The property was very well taken care of and the cabin was very clean and accommodated my family and I perfectly.

This was such an unexpected delight vs. the listing. It was very confusing for check-in though as Expedia and Red Awning had incorrect contact information. This made it difficult to know what to bring. It turns out everything needed for a fun week's stay was included except sheets and towels, and the gracious host was understanding of the mix-up and squared us away. The hosts were friendly, the cabin clean and homey, and there were plenty of activities available for free including canoeing, games, videos, and fire pits. A full kitchen is also included for meals. It's a short 15 minute drive from the Mackinac Bridge for touring.
