We were very disappointed when we first arrived to find the apartment quite run down and outdated, given the price (even for Port Douglas). The MDF doors and cupboard fronts were all swollen with water damage and well worn, there was black mould in the silicone in the bathroom sink and shower, a stained toilet with black water marks that hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, filthy tiled floors, a broken bed (three major slats were missing and the main support had snapped and was sitting on the floor). The couch was old, disgusting, incredibly uncomfortable and should have been thrown out years ago. The pool hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. It’s open until 9pm but unless you like swimming in total darkness it isn’t usable after sunset. The front door to the apartment is supposed to be a fire door but stays open unless you pull it closed with force. This is a two star apartment complex (certainly not four!) and the price is an absolute joke for the standard provided!
