Quirky hotel with a bit of history. Room was spacious but a bit worn. Hotel was a little noisy but not a problem. There was a pool, sauna and good facilities for families with children. Breakfast and dinner options were great and the waiting staff were attentive and friendly amongst the chaos. Location was great, lots to do in the area. A thoroughly decent stay but perhaps better for families with children rather than those travelling as a couple or solo.

The hotel was built on the site of an ancient castle and retains its medieval atmosphere. This gives the hotel a sort of magic and makes it beautiful both inside and out.
The staff is very courteous and always available. The receptionists and restaurant waiters are always courteous and helpful. A special thanks goes to Giulia, who helped us with a problem we had on our last day.
However, the interiors of the property are often dated and worn. The carpet in the room was old and sometimes dirty.
The bathroom was spacious but definitely needed maintenance, such as flushing the sinks and removing unpleasant odors from the toilet bowl.
