Hyggelig lille lejlighed

Det var en dejlig beliggenhed, og en rigtigt fin lejlighed som passede til vores behov (2-3 dage). Sengen var behagelig at sove i.

The apartment is nice, comfortable and clean. Since it is a wooden house it always felt nice and warm even when it was cold outside. All the basic kitchen equipment was there including a sieve. Very good wifi. Very nice host. You can meet in person which I greatly preferred as some of the apartments in town seemed to be operated by companies, which acquire you to upload your id for automatic check-in and unexpectedly charge a high deposit (according to some reviews). My European phone flat did not work, since it is outside EU, so the upload might have been a problem, and I was doubly thankful for the personal contact and availability, as the host lives next door. Anyway, there is a key-box, so you can enter and do the meeting and payment independently which is handy if you arrive at a later hour. Payment works via credit card. You need your PIN ready for the credit card. The smallness of the shower was often mentioned in the reviews, and it turned out that it was a tube with a shower head attached to the wash basin (a little like the bidet showers in Finland are), since the whole bathroom is only about 1.5mx1.5m and serves as shower cabin as a whole. It was a pretty good and strong shower though! On arrival all the basic items like toilet paper and soap were available. As already mentioned in some reviews the walk down to the city center leads through the beautiful city park and is about 20 minutes (which means you have to walk up a little hill when coming back BTW). You need maybe 5 more minutes to the harbour, where the ferries and bus stops for the long distance buses are. At the center close to the tourist information (20 minutes walk) there is also one of the supermarkets which are open on Sunday/every day. There is also a bus stop close. (The city buses are for free.)

I would not have minded if a hair dryer and a pair of scissors would have been there, which would have been handy for opening some packages like milk and cream. It is not possible to make the room completely dark (blinds are only at the windows close to the bed), which was not a problem for me, because I was there in September. In June you need to bring a blindfold if you are not able to sleep when it is light. True that there is no vent, but when cooking something smelly it is possible to open the window and the door at the same time to air the room efficiently.

Ligging is prima.

Douche gedeelte in de badkamer. En we hebben wat tips: En iets meer serviesgoed zou prettig zijn. Screens zijn aan vervanging toe. 1 bovenraam heeft geen screen en verduistering voor de deur zou ook fijn zijn.

Het was fantastisch schoon! De eigenaresse was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Er was geen afzuig bij het koken.
