The Lodge a beautiful barn conversion with 3 ensuite bedrooms on the edge of Cannock Chase

It was clean & tidy & very spacious. The garden was very welcome as it was a hot weekend.

The location was not as expected. It is situated on a busy road with traffic going past most of the night. The front bedroom could do with a bit more draw space. Also the boiler is a bit temperamental

Very clean and comfortable.

Somewhat more road noise than we are used to.

Good bedroom sizes. Clean linen and towels. Generally, it is very clean and comfortable.

Kitchen very basic. Small fridge with freezer section full of ice so as the door won't close and hence nothing could be stored. Wish they defrost the freezer regularly. No dishwasher or washing up hand gloves. Small TV with limited channels of what you get through freeview. Be warned that the accommodation is built up in a built-up area but not near to any shops or restaurants, etc.

The location was great for walking on Cannock chase. The bedrooms were comfortable and well appointed

Although 6 beds for 6 people the dining table only had 4 comfortable chairs with another 2 random chairs we could pull up The lounge curtains hadn’t been gathered and so hung in a manner more reminiscent of a student flat . There were only 5 mugs and the glasses didn’t reflect 6 people. The oven door malfunctioned and had to be lifted to close it and slammed hard to close . My friend found a drinks bottle and crisp packet under her bed . I also had trouble with the booking . I was sent a separate email asking for a photo of my driving licence which worried me in case of scam. This should have been done through booking.com and another about a security deposit of 200 pounds which should have been possible through their secure form but it didn’t give me a pay button so I had to contact them by phone My first email simply replied keep pushing next- this didn’t work !! This was stressful as the entry code wasn’t released till this was completed -so what was the point of using booking.com !!
