| Pet-Friendly Paradise |
The home is dog friendly only - up to 2 dogs weighing no more than 65lbs each (larger dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis - please message us before booking). Dogs must be included in the reservation and the $250 pet fee per dog, per stay, is due at time of booking. Dogs are not allowed on any furniture and must be crated anytime the owner is not present. Larger dogs may be considered but must be approved by the owner before booking. *An undisclosed dog fee of $400 (per dog) will be charged if you bring a dog that is not included in the reservation and pet fee paid prior to check-in.*
We encourage all guests to purchase TRAVEL INSURANCE through the platform or privately. Life happens and travel insurance will help protect your trip (reimburse cost if cancelled) in the event you cannot make it. Please note, we do not make any exceptions to our cancellation policy so please protect your vacation investment - we cannot be your financial heroes in the event you cannot make it for any reason.

*IMPORTANT* this is a very special home to us, named after our beloved black labrador, Maverick. We are excited to share it with fellow beach lovers, families, small groups, and other sweet pups. However, we expect every guest to respect the home, its contents and follow the house rules to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience. If you are not able to do that, then this is not the home for you. We do not tolerate any type of parties and if you're a night owl, this is not the home for you.
The entire house is yours!
You MUST BE 25 years old in order to book this home and the person who books the home must be present for the entire stay.
The home has 3 ring cameras - one at the front door, one on the game room building facing the driveway and another one on the corner of the house facing the grassy yard/game room building - all devices are for security and have video/audio recording capabilities. They are used for check in/out and security purposes and may not be tampered with (covered, unplugged, etc.). Evidence of tampering with either camera will result in immediate trip cancellation and no refund.
! Weather Related Refunds! - We follow all local guidelines and officials’ directions when it comes to tropical storms, hurricanes, etc. We will follow our cancellation policy unless there is an active evacuation order in place and decisions will be made on a case by case basis.

Wonderful house with all the amenities you could hope for. Pool was great and the beach was a reasonable walk from the home. Communication from the hosts was excellent.

My husband and I (plus our two dogs) stayed for a little over two weeks at The Salty Maverick in March. We felt welcomed right away as soon as we entered this beautifully decorated home, and our stay was incredibly comfortable and relaxing! The dogs were welcomed with bowls and toys, and our girl still especially loves playing with her souvenir stuffed whale from Florida!!
Kate went above and beyond in communicating and accommodating us and was super friendly as well. You can tell she puts a lot of thought and love into hosting. We had everything we needed at the house as it was very well stocked from the kitchen, laundry and the bathrooms. The location was perfect for our first time in the area, and we loved having more space as the lot is very large. It was just a short walk to the beach, and we loved taking the dogs there for our daily walks. We would definitely stay again at this place or any of her other properties!

Our trip to Port St. Joe and our stay at The Salty Maverick was absolutely one of the best trips we have had as a family. The house was everything as advertised and better. We loved the heated pool and game room. Rooms were spacious and beds comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishes and cookware a family may need. Kate was absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. She put up Christmas decorations and a tree and even left us a beautiful ornament. The little things she did like having hot chocolate and treats for my granddaughter were wonderful and made it special. The memories of our Christmas here will last our lifetimes. This is definitely a 5 star rating and I look forward to returning in the summer!

This house The Salty Maverick, was absolutely amazing. My husband, our 2 dogs, and I, stayed here for my birthday. Check in/out was simple. The decor was gorgeous. Super clean. There were beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, and even a beach wagon to pull your items to the beach. They even supplied dog bowls and toys! It is a very short walk to the beach. The beds were extremely comfortable. Large screen TV's in all rooms, including the back porch. So many extra's included, such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and laundry detergent, We didn't cook any, but there is plenty of pans and cooking utensils. The pool was amazing. It's a large pool. There is also an air hockey table and pacman game in the large shed. We walked our dogs each morning and took them to the beach. No hills. Kate was a pleasure to answer any questions that we had. This was, by far, one of our favorite homes we have stayed at. I would highly recommend this house to rent. We loved our stay there.
