About this house rental
Unwind lakeside at this spacious, newly renovated, multi-generational lakefront home. Nestled in a tranquil neighborhood on just under 1 acre with 170' lakefront, this soothing 2,200 sq. ft. retreat offers a peaceful escape for guests seeking relaxation, comfort, and the beauty of nature. With five cozy bedrooms, including three queen beds, one king bed, and 2 bunk beds, and extra sleeping space on the oversized sectional couch, everyone will find their perfect spot to recharge. The four bathrooms are equipped with amenities including towels, toiletries, bathtub, and shower, ensuring a refreshing start to each day. Feel at home with convenient features such as heating, central A/C, washer & dryer, iron, and Wi-Fi. TVs are equipped with Roku, enabling access to all streaming platforms. Front door is equipped with a handicap ramp. On-site parking for up to 5 vehicles. The picturesque village of Northville is just under 3 miles away with quaint restaurants, shops, and all your grocery and fueling needs. Albany Airport is just under an hour away.
SUMMER: Located within the Adirondack Park, this location is perfect for summer activities including hiking and biking. Enjoy use of the deep water ocean docks with 3 slips to dock your boat (Free NYS boat launch about three miles away), swim, fish, or kayak using the 4 provided. Water skis, wakeboard, and life vests are available for your use in The Boathouse. A dedicated 50 amp service and space provided for 1 RV use. Relax and make memories roasting marshmallows with your family around the lakefront firepit, play horseshoes or ping-pong, go for a bike ride, watch the children play in the new covered sandbox, or enjoy the shade and bay-side breeze on the double bench swing. Located 30 miles from Saratoga racetrack! NYS Northampton Campground and Public beach is just 1/2 mile down the road and is also accessible by boat or kayak.
FALL: Enjoy the stunning hues of fall from the glassed sunporch of the Lakefront Room with a fresh cup of coffee, or while eating fireside in the spacious family dining room with an original hand laid fieldstone fireplace and lake views from the large bay window. Fully stocked kitchen with granite countertops and lake views make meal prep enjoyable. Cozy up for a family movie in the cabin-style living room with grand cathedral ceilings and exposed beams, a stunning stone fireplace, or play chess or checkers with a lakeview. Outdoor eating is a must in the covered pavilion off the kitchen...take in the incredible views as you utilize the grill, enjoy meals, and making memories with your loved ones. Whether you're exploring the nearby attractions or simply enjoying the peaceful ambiance, this unique property on the lake is a perfect fit.
WINTER: Winter or holidays are perfect for this gem...hop on the nearby snowmobile trail, go ice fishing, or go downhill skiing at one of the few local mountains including Gore and Oak Mtn., or X-country skiing at the local renowned Lapland Lake Ski Center.
SPRING: Cozy up by the fire or enjoy a hot cup of coffee on the sunporch as you read or just take in the tranquil lake views, play a game with loved ones or work on a puzzle at the game table fireside in the Great Room.
The Sacandaga Suite is located upstairs with its own private outdoor entrance. It boasts the best views on the property from the private deck, with an en suite bathroom, fireplace and a kitchenette.
Please note that children are welcomed, but this property is not "child-proof"; the bay side of the property has a steep embankment leading to the water, so supervision is necessary.
7 night minimum Memorial Day to Labor day with a Monday to Monday check-in/check-out.(We do make exceptions from time to time for shorter stays, so please reach out to see if we can accommodate you)

A VRBO rental!! My friends and I stayed here for annual weekend getaway and it was absolutely perfect. Super clean, excellent accommodations and like the listing states, “Stunning” is right-on with this lakefront property. The hosts made the trip special with going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I would 100% stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a cozy spot on Great Lake Sacandaga!

Had a wonderful stay at this charming lake cottage! The location was perfect—quiet, peaceful, and right by the water. The cottage itself was cozy, well-equipped, and had a beautiful view from the porch. We spent our days kayaking, fishing, and just relaxing by the lake. The host was fantastic—friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a great spot to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend

We had a wonderful time in this well equipped and spotless home away from home for a week. The weather couldn't have been better and the outdoor area allowed us all to play games and have cookouts enjoying each others company. The kayaks gave the kids many hours of fun and the dock at sunset was the place to fish. Scott and Jen are very proud of "His Place" and it shows. It's a great place for multiple families to come together and celebrate family.
