The Joy of the Little Things
We all know how important it is to enjoy everyday life, but we don’t always have the time to slow down.
My home is that place where you can disconnect from it all, connect with your loved ones, and spend quality time with them.
My town, Herramélluri, is the perfect place to visit La Rioja any time of year.
• Start your day by making yourself a cup of aromatic coffee with the Italian coffee maker I’ve left in your apartment.
• Take a nice walk along the path that runs along the riverbank.
• Stop by El Chato’s farm to buy some peppers and tomatoes that taste out of this world. Tell him I sent you.
• Have a barbecue using the vine cuttings or charcoal you’ll find in the txoko.
• Or simply relax in the garden—in the shade in summer and in the sun in winter—after visiting the best wineries in La Rioja, Haro.
And for anything you need, you can count on Fito, a family friend who lives in town and will give you the keys to my house. Fito knows La Rioja like the back of his hand and will be happy to help you if you want to go on excursions.
