Our short stay 😭

This is really a Bed and Breakfast not a hotel which is not clear to me from the property listing. However, the hosts are a young couple actively renovating a beautiful historical chateau and they were extremely accommodating to make our stay welcoming and comfortable.

Property listing more clear that this is a bed and breakfast not a hotel property which is really a different experience.

A generously sized room, beautiful surroundings with ancient trees, views & birdsong in the morning.

Having read the glowing reviews we were not prepared to arrive at a place which is very much a work in progress. Our room on the second floor, though spacious, lacked quite a few things to make it the ‘Deluxe Double Room’ we thought we had booked.Things like a second bed side lamp, racks to hang your bath towels (or anything else), space to place anything you need around a bathroom basin, which is actually located in the room (ok, but an acquired taste & again lacking a light really impractical). I also found the monstrous TV set standing in front of one window rather disturbing. The intense smell of fabric softener of the bed linen & towels didn’t add to our enjoyment & I don’t know how to use a Nespresso machine to make hot water for a cup of tea (even though I was told that it is possible).
